This was at the wheelchair basketball conference championship tournament in California held at our gym in Loma Linda. This was the championship game. I’m,number 34, holding out one of there big forwards who is fast and an incredible shooter, our team does not want him anywhere near the key or he will cost us valuable points. After holding him out I have been taught to fast break as soon as the ball is shot, which I spun around him and took off just moments before he did, those few moments were crucial in my shot and the fast break.

It’s my main job, along with stopping fast breaks and the usual speed guard things. When my alternate comes in with me we run a Hard 2 (Me and him stay down on the opposite side of the court when the ball is passed in and run the crap out of the ball carriers to where they will make a mistake) and either get the ball back or take out 15 or 20 seconds of there time.
Yea nice picking back there, something which a lot of players aren’t bothered about doing anymore here in the UK, especially at my old team.
