@DiosanXaquerry That would like calling your country “asia” or “africa” and saying your nationality is “asian” or “africa”. You would rightfully ask someone who did that “what country dumbass ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!”. Or were you planning to vote for Palin who did not know africa is a continent not a country…….

  2. DiosanXaquerry says:

@HooshIsASoup what ?!?!?!?! I think it is you who are the stupid one…… “Estados Unidos” is the name of the country, I think most spanish and portuguese speakers are aware of the colloquialism “Americano” to refer to a person from the US. Besides calling someone from the US american, or even calling the US america is stupid in the first place, the US is only frigging part of north of america and has nothing to do with central or south america…

@HooshIsASoup I am from Portugal and the term “estadounidense” is brazilian. We call US citizens “americanos”, and that is the correct term in my country. I can’t speak for the spanish but they have the same differences in linguistics between Spain and the former colonies as we do between Portugal and Brazil.

so what if yanks call football soccer! Yeah its a bit strange but so what. They can’t call it football cause of other game they bizzarely call football! Knowing the yanks in ten years time they probably be winning the world cup anyway. Im welsh and we can’t even qualify!
Plus i think ice hockey may actually be an even better game than football!
