www.ravenracingvideo.com Helmet camera on the rollbar of a race boat at Riggins Idaho. This onboard camera gives you a view of what the driver sees as their racing. This helmet cam view is of one entire leg down the race course at Riggins Idaho. This race boat is classified under the sportjet class. The motor is a mercury V6 powered inboard. This boat is capable of speeds close to 65 mph. The jetboat is usually only around 16 feet in length. There were 4 racers in this class.
Going that fast i think i would tighten up the steering wheel a bit. Looks like its a tad loose to me. “Just Sayin”
Cruel and inhumane!!! On behalf of all insect lovers I will protest at the next AJBR event.
How fast were you going? It looks so fun!
Beautiful sounding engine.
what kinda powerplant you have in that thing?
Fuckin kick ass
@sissywimpypanzyboy Well I doubt would happen since the river is CLOSED!! DURING RACING!! for about 3 hours.
WHAT IF SOMEONE WERE FLYFISHING AND GOT THIER GRILL SMASHED IN BY THIS SPEED MONSTER?
@k0rc The section going through the rock walls is about 70 feet deep. The section through the rapids is probably 3-4 feet deep but loaded with bedrock and boulders. The drivers memorize the sections of river. They don’t always get ti right though. The easiest way to remember you way through a section of river is to look for landmarks. Most of the drivers will pick a tree rock outcrop on a hillside to align themselves with the chute of the rapid.
Imagine all the fish you woke up from their mid-day nap… but seriously… how deep is the water? And when going through the rapids sections, does this indicate “shallow” or “rocks” or “?”. How do you determine your best path through these sections?
awesome. nice one mate.
Wow, this is an amazing motor-sport
does it say “AMERCIAN jetboat racing”?
Imagine hitting some gravel in a shallow spot, or a sand bar or a log or something.
