Ever wondered–”What are the limitations of human athletic performance?” John Brenkus, the host and creator of “Sport Science,” answers that question in his new book The Perfection Point. Using statistics, physics, and physiology, Brenkus discovers the highest someone can dunk a basketball, the farthest someone can hit a baseball, and much more. Pre-order it today at any major bookstore! If you love ESPN’s Sport Science, you gotta get this book!

“Seems like they’ll jump off anything.” Ugh…yes. Well done narrator. Freerunning is just high-diving off of roofs. Thank you for that well thought out explanation.
@pillsburydoughboy47
that sux
yo its not that hard to jump from a roof every freerunner/parkour ppl do it like everyday
@BlacksVideos billy “skipper” hughes from APK was a diver before he got into parkour, and hawaii pk regularly dives into the ocean, practicing their freerunning moves. and i’m pretty sure they knew what parkour was before they filmed this episode.
”Their techniques draw from many sports, especially highdiving” Probably the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard. Actually It’s the first time I’ve heard that parkour/freerunning or whatever you call it is inspired by that. I love how TV always have to show the spectacular stuff, with some kind of dramatic music to it trying to say It’s all about mad jumps. Maybe they should let people that KNOW what freerunning/parkour is do all this instead of doing some hollywood freerunning/parkour edition.
@tanyuwei1995 LMAO Yeah xD. Thats why i thought “freerunning sport science” to be an awful title. Pakour sport science would be more accurate. : )
i’ll have to agree on that, but i guess the purpose of this video is just to explain why we dont break our legs after a jump if we roll
@tanyuwei1995 I understand that, but they don’t properly examine the sport for what it is, and they put “Freerunning sport science” and as far as i could tell, that wasn’t much freerunning. They only expounded on the parkour side of it, which is a WHOLE different sport and concept. Thats what got me, and the crappy voice guy over dramatizing the simple things, if he saw the other shit we do his head would explode and he’d die on the spot it seems.
@CapitalHKidd hey u have to remember that the this is the simplest but also the most important for your own safety.
alright that was gross youtube sorry.
