Fedor is top 5, it’s unlikely that a top 5 will be “destroyed” in any case. Even if you drop that to top 10.

If Dana was so confident then he would allow these fights to go ahead. The problem is that when not in front of the cameras, he is aware that Fedor is PROBABLY going to be the favourite to win, and defeating a UFC fighter outside of the UFC… Well…
The point is that Fedor isn’t scared, he wanted the fights to happen. It’d be different if he was offered fights with Lesnar etc but refused. But that’s not what happened.
He’s ducking the UFC itself, not the UFC fighters.

If the UFC decided to co-promote with StrikeForce, the latter will be the one that gets most of the rewards–more fans, more sponsors, more opportunities to air events, ultimately more money. While the UFC will probably still sell around the numbers that they’re used to seeing. The rewards that the superior promotion can gain from co-promoting are very miniscule when compared to the lesser promotion.

M-1 won’t want their golden boy to fight the ‘reem, I’m guessing they will have Overeem fight Big Foot Silva because M-1 will stall negotiations. Once that fight’s booked and Overeem is out of the picture, then M-1 will pick an opponent for Fedor in his last contracted fight. From there, he can retire or fight in Japan or… fight in the UFC?!! @forbesfoofighters Exactly, you said it yourself, the ‘Mike Tyson’ of kickboxing – great potential, but flawed by discrepancies like indiscipline and volatile temperament, like he displayed recently against Hesdy Gerges. Hari has KO’d Overeem anyway in their first bout; they’re 1 apiece so that’s not a great example you used.
Fedor couldn’t afford to stand up with Cro Cop, but he did and won.
