Cyclist Struck by Delivery Truck in Elma
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 70-year-old Orchard Park man was struck by a FedEx delivery vehicle while riding his bicycle on Bullis Road in Elma just before 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. The incident occurred near Winspear Road.

Iroquois Board Honors Elma Review and EA Advertiser
The Elma Review and East Aurora Advertiser newspapers, along with freelance reporter Julie Hadley and managing editor Jeremy Morlock, were among the recipients of Iroquois School Board awards at the board’s Sept. 15 meeting. Board President David Lowrey commended news staff for their work and commitment to accuracy in reporting changes and activities at the school district in recent months.

Elma Pumpkin Festival is Saturday
“Pumpkin People” can be seen around Elma in coming days as part of the town’s annual Pumpkin Festival. Local residents and businesses have been working to create the figures – a pumpkin head atop stuffed clothing – for a contest, displaying them in front of homes and shops in advance of the Oct. 2 festival.
