State Troopers Make Four Weekend Arrests in Area
New York State Police made several arrests of drivers last weekend in local towns. On Fri., Sept. 17 around 8:10 p.m., a motorist flagged down Trooper Shawn Paa, telling him that her vehicle was struck by another vehicle on Route 16 at the intersection on Holland Glenwood Road in the Town of Holland. The woman further stated that the vehicle in question had fled the scene.

Many Join Bosom Buddies Walk
Hundreds of people converged on the East Aurora Middle School early on Saturday morning. They came with a purpose – to support the Western New York Breast Resource Center at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Each of the participants had raised funds for the Breast Resource Center, and took part in a 1.5-, three-, or five-mile walk around the village.

Orchids are Always in Bloom in Elma
What started out as a few orchid seedlings on an indoor windowsill a few decades ago has grown into a full-time hobby for Joe DiDomenico of Elma. He now has over a thousand orchids of all varieties from all over the world.
