Tonight (November 21, 2008), Kevin Garnett will play against the Timberwolves at the Target Center for the first time in his career. He returns to Minnesota as a champion, as a defensive player of the year, and as a celebrated and cherished sports figure in Minnesota. An icon. To commemorate the occasion, here is a look back on June 28th, 1995, the day Kevin Garnett became a Minnesota Timberwolf. The Minnesota Timberwolves made Kevin Garnett their first round draft choice — 5th pick overall — in the 1995 NBA Draft at the SkyDome in Toronto. Garnett became the first player in 20 years to jump from high school straight to the NBA. He would face a blitz of criticisms and doubters, people predicting that he would fail miserably. How wrong they were.

25.2 ppg 6.7 asst for a PF 17.9 rebs and 6.5BLOCKS PER GAME! thats crazy.
Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Philedelphia 76r’s and Washington Bullets all got owned.
@harris224
KG is the only PF to have 20000 points 10000 boards and 5000 assists he might have gotten it thtrough points rebounds and assists like most players
I like that Wolves Hat
Best PF indeed, almost a shame how loyal he was!
@Listenism lol so true
If only those other teams knew that Kevin Garnett would become the greatest power forward of all tine
Not smart enough to go to college…
@ahyuandy I’m guessing his was points, rebounds and blocks. He probably just blocked everyone’s shots, got the rebound and then dribbled up the court and dunked.
