Basic power boating skills, another instructional video from Show Me How Videos. Taylor Lawson has been working as a professional captain since 1997 when he obtained his first United States Coast Guard license in San Francisco, California. Currently, he makes a living running and delivering motor yachts around the world and training individuals on how to operate their private boats. A native of Annapolis, MD, he spent his childhood boating with his family from the age of seven. During the summers, he attended sailing school where he gained great insight to the art of close-quarters boat handling. While attending St. Mary’s College of Maryland he raced dinghies on their nationally ranked sailing team and continued in competitive racing circuits after college. While living in Monterey California he was encouraged by an entrepreneur to get a captain’s license and thereafter, run a local sailing charter boat. After California, he moved to the Caribbean where he ran a very busy charter boat. In order to start running motor yachts, he upgraded his engineering skills and safety credentials in Fort Lauderdale. Since then, his career as a motor yacht captain has taken him around the world. For the complete video visit www.showmehowvideos.com

@racing16 Wow, sounds sketchy! And makes this all that more wicked!

I’ll add a vid as a vid response so you can take a peek. I just own it, didn’t do the paint.

    Keep up the sick vids!

  14. racing16 says:

@4mods There is just a thin sheet of aluminum for the dash. Most of the steering wheels in the boats have this problem. So to answer your question it doesn’t do much for asorbing vibrations just no reinforcement. That must be one wicked looking RC boat you got there.

  15. 4mods says:

That was sick. My rc jet boat has similar paint scheme! haha.

Why does the steering move around so much? Its it loose to absorb vibrations? Thanks!

I realy have to stop watching boating info from the USA. i Keep forgetting you guys have your own rules under the iala (A)
But like you, we have more than our fair share of dickheads that should not even be allowed to swim in water let alone drive a boat. mind you they make for good entertainment down at the ramp when i get bored

  17. jsg2891 says:

I see that all the time, I live on a canal, and when the assholes speed through the canal, the waves created bounce the boats up and down the sea wall, scraping the hell out of the paint. I don’t have a boat, but a few of my neighbors do and when people don’t slow down, its funny when my neighbors take shovels and save up their dog’s shit so they can sling it at speeding idiots. There is nothing more amusing than seeing some rich snobby rude asshole get pelted with several pounds of dog shit!!

  18. LP640driver says:

@jsg2891 you forgot blowing through no wake zones. I love that shit, yo.

  19. jsg2891 says:

best boating tip i can give is stay the hell off the water. half of you boater clowns are rude inconsiderate shits. speeding through manatee zones, speeding through idle and no wake areas, drinking, rolling around in circles seeming like you have no idea where you are going, what you are doing, and why you are doing it. and what is it that assholes in boats love so much about disturbing people’s fishing spots? its as iff you seek out people fishing on land and run up on their spots on purpose

  20. Zeamus634 says:

“In normal circumstances you would stay just like in a car on your right hand side”

What about if you drive on the left hand side of the road?

  21. rednecksinspace says:

Ah, that’s cool, I always thought there was only the color to tell them apart.
