Barry Larkin – 2008 Cincinnati REDS Hall of Fame Induction

Induction of Barry Larkin into Cincinnati REDS Hall of Fame. I stopped filming when he started thanking his agents, due to time constants. Taken with Flip video camera. Sorry for the glare on the scoreboard. The sun was setting to the left of camera.

Concepcion most certainly had better players around him. Larkin may have been slightly better overall, but Concepcion should be in the Hall of Fame because he revolutionized how shortstop is played, especially on astroturf!

  4. rm1jagfan says:

The Reds haven’t had a good shortstop since Larkin! I also think Larkin was better than Concepcion.

  6. iamrph says:

I agree 100%!!! What about Pete Rose? What he did wasn’t anything compared to Bonds, Clemeans, A-Rod, Rameriz, and Mcguire, to name a few! Those clowns cheated to gain an unfair advantage. Pete was addicted to gambling and hurt no one but himself. Put Peter Edward Rose in the Hall Of Fame!!!

If Larkin doesn’t make it to the HOF, then every writer who didn’t vote for him should be thrown in a pool of sulfuric acid.

  8. iamrph says:

yeah, when he started rambling about his glove agent and shoe agent I cut him off!!!! Who cares if the guy paid for your vacation to the Bahamas~~~Or bought you a condo on South Beach
