The only “jackass” here is you. He is opening his shoulder up too early in the video, which is bad for his arm, his control, and his movement. The bullpen coach in the video says the same so if you disagree, fine, but I couldn’t care less.

He is definitely opening up that left shoulder quickly, which I find interesting.
If he can command a pitch a la Greg Maddux 88 mph is more than enough. My recommendation to the Durham Bulls (I’m from Durham, NC) is study Maddux’s mentality, and study Maddux’s delivery and technique. If you really soak up what he did well you can become a ML pitcher, I wish I had but my shoulder got messed up from overpitching when young.
