    Thanks it answered my question by showing actual tyre indentation. I am using a trek hybrid and wanted to make sure it was connected correctly, slight adjustment tomorrow morning and I will be happier. Glad to see the unit supports the rider with out of the seat riding. Thanks again :o )

    You can minimize tire wear by checking the following:
    PSI – Make sure your tire is inflated to the psi recommended by the tire manufacturer.
    Tire clamp pressure – should see a small dent in the tire when riding, no slippage when doing fast accelerations.
    Making sure the flywheel and the tire are clean.

    Tires generally build up much more heat on a trainer than on the road and so wear more quickly.

    how exactly does a tire wear down faster on a trainer than on the road? that sounds opposite of what i would have assumed
