They are not afraid of the Detroit Pistons. They are not afraid of the past. And now, the Chicago Bulls are one victory away from eliminating the team that eliminated them from the playoffs the three previous years. Taking a major step toward the NBA Finals, the Bulls defeated the Pistons, 113-107, here this afternoon at the Palace. Chicago leads the Eastern Conference Finals, 3-0, and can eliminate the Pistons by winning Game 4 here Monday afternoon. History says that the Pistons’ two-year reign as NBA champions is about to end. No team in league history has recovered from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series. And the Pistons appeared to throw everything they had at Chicago today, yet the Bulls withstood it. “We’ve put the Pistons in a position that they haven’t been in for a long time,” said Michael Jordan, who scored 33 points for the Bulls on 11-for-19 shooting, saving 14 of them for the final quarter. He also had 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 blocks and 2 steals. “In my seven years here, we’ve never been to the finals, and we’ve never beaten this team in the playoffs. We can do both with one more win.” Jordan is playing with tendinitis in both knees, but that has not kept him from being the most dominant player in the series. Whenever the Pistons tried to rally during the fourth quarter, Jordan would make a shot, make a pass or make a defensive play to keep the Bulls in control. “Anytime they need a big shot, they go to Jordan and he completes the play,” Daly said. “He’s

@MichiganStateGirl81 I feel the exact same way…… but I don’t mind if Chauncey and the Nuggets beat the Pistons sometimes lol

  2. MichiganStateGirl81 says:

I love Chauncey Billups, he was my favorite Piston, I LOVE the Pistons but now I root for Denver also. I only root for Denver when Pistons aren’t playing because I love Billups

  3. gregpimpmack2 says:

@Arp590 Likin Park is fucking sweet. What the fuck did you want? Rap again?

  4. cbillsallday says:

    @Arp590 lol…. I was trying to be sentimental :)

  5. Arp590 says:

  9. ncaafsufan says:

    @falconcourt500 I agree!!

  10. falconcourt500 says:

@ncaafsufan don’t forget the Bulls & Pacers that was pretty nice too

  11. SoniaGraber445824 says:

kOrOne79, SoniaGraber445824 is 5 9, white and could dunk easily. Wtf you mean white guys can’t dunk? It’s all about the training individuals do to get their own jump to be high enough to dunk. But for me, I personally used the professional dunk workout over at “50-inch-vertical[dot]com”

  12. ncaafsufan says:

The 2 best rivalaries were Bulls/Pistons and Bulls/Knicks.

  13. steelerman1974 says:

WOW! Ho Grant without the goggles. That’s old school baby!

  14. arbtaras says:

    Jumpball 4:16

  15. Potsie791 says:

8:35 MJ did indeed make on of the great defensive plays of all time!

  16. AnAzureSky says:

@hooptron Yea, the Pistons couldn’t keep up.

  17. jaydzik says:

the in and out into the bank shot at 1:02 was SICK

  18. dwoodall8979 says:

Also, they say that in today’s game they call too many flagrant fouls. Well in this clip, we see Isiah Thomas MAKE A BASKET and still draws a flagrant. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that before.

  19. dwoodall8979 says:

@AController You know just because people like you say that teams today don’t play defense doesn’t mean it’s true. Did any of you watch the 2010 NBA Finals? There was incredible defense being played for 7 games.

  20. alexander4583 says:

omg we need more teams like these bad boys. so fun to watch. very intense match. good upload!

  21. CLilShorty says:

    lol the Pistons played ROUGH!!!
that means no phantom fouls LeBron,
or those touch fouls lol you earn your baskets and don’t expect the refs to save yur ass

  22. hugebodylover says:

BS CHICAGO WAS SHAING LIKE A STRIPPER!

  23. hooptron says:

@sanjay9061xy I guess the Bulls were due to finally win after the Pistons kicked their asses three straight years.

  24. sanjay9061xy says:

@hooptron not nearly as much of an ass as those wussy pistons were. what a bunch of cry baby asses when they got swept, when is isiah up for parole? isnt he in jail or something?

  25. hooptron says:

@sanjay9061xy You’re an ass for saying something so stupid.

  26. hooptron says:

First two games the Bulls shot 42 more free throws than Detroit…that says a lot.

  27. qukarlz says:

    i lol’d at that

  28. dimedropper1992 says:

    Isaiah Thomas has mad hops

  29. WutzAMet says:

Dude, you can’t tell today’s youth about ANYTHING….I miss the 90s NBA where defense was fierce and in-your-face, with not a lot of prima donnas like this decade. The reason why Jordan is so great (no disrespect to the greatest Bill Russell) is because he came from this era the most dominant player of his time, due to overcoming the defense of teams like the Knicks and Pistons. I’m sorry, but Kobe whines too much for 90s basketball and all that whining will make the refs not blow the whistle..

  30. tt09291979 says:

wooo!! man u are so correct u better tell these young dudes what it is NBA today is nothing!!

  31. Dmidgette1 says:

this was when basketball was at it’s best. the teams was so talented defesively and offensively. after the 2003-2004 season basketball started to go down. guys really don’t have to work on their skills and the craft anymore. all you got to be is quick now and you can average 20 points a game driving to the basket all night. that’s because they took all of the defense out of basketball.

  32. WutzAMet says:

Also, Kobe going to the hole and getting clotheslined by Rick Mahorn and elbowed by Rodman would’ve made him think twice about it and settle for jump shots.
