First Look at the New York Mets’ Citi Field

The New York Mets will play their final season at Shea Stadium in 2008. AP correspondent Bonny Ghosh takes a tour of the ballpark that will replace it, Citi Field. (Feb. 12)

A tribute to the 1979 Mets.. they did do bad but people dont like them for that but I Dont care what those people think Im a die hard Met fan so I put Met Tributes up.. They had a bad season but pretty good players… some players are in differnt uniforms because I couldn’t find some of them in a Mets One Enjoy. Song: Smashing Pumpkins- 1979

@annshshs 10 years ago they were all out with tearing it down.

  2. happyguy215 says:

the orange represents the giants and the blue represents the dodgers. the location of shea stadium is where dodger stadium was going to be built but they moved to los angeles.

  3. annshshs says:

30 or 40 years? Really? Come on!
Thats nothing. Fenway was been up almost 100 years and there is no way they are thinking about knocking that down.

  9. dispatcher485 says:

shea stadium was nicer all it need was to be cleaned once in a while

  10. ticket2 says:

Citifield is architectural more of a ballpark then New yankee Stadium which is based on cathedral grandness of old Greek stadiums. which is fine too. Do wish Citifield had HUGE ass Diamond Vision screen it is amazing.

  11. YANKEES43171 says:

  13. ReyBrutal says:

Um…. you guys are the ones who needed a Federal Bailout to pay for your stadium and are in 2 Federal Lawsuits against the City of New York and we’re the disgrace?

Try winning a Championship where there are more than 12 teams or without buying umpires or without juicing your team with steriods.

  14. sabrescarygood says:

The Mets are a disgrace to NY

  15. angel4zeus13 says:

  18. Gyro911 says:

Why dont they just rename his team the NY Fake Dodgers.. STupid owners model a stadium after the dodgers who are new in LA whereas the mets have a richer history by winning more championships since thier expansion

  19. sabrescarygood says:

Ahhh well if it isnt that fake NY franchise Hey mets whose your daddy???? Peace to the New York Yanks and Joe Girardi….

  24. eertrallod says:

yeah man. at least the mets havesome good homegrown talent in wright and reyes.

  25. systemdown12 says:

oh okay yeah i know exactly what your talking about now and i agree with it yankees always build a team through free agency too.

  26. paddyjoejr1 says:

Ed Kranepool Was The Greatest Player The Mets EVER Had!

    GREAT MEMORIES THANKS

  30. AndyK304 says:

If I’m not mistaken, Chico Escuela tried to make his comeback with the Mets in the spring of ’79. They probably could have used him. If only he hadn’t written that book, Bad Stuff ’bout The Mets”. A lesson in bridge burning, I guess…

  31. lucasloislily says:
