Professional investment analysts don’t trade the investments they report on in order to remain objective. Could Simmons say the same about the companies involved in the Gulf spill? He held short positions on these companies and stood to profit from the devaluation of their stock. Given the platform he commanded as a make-believe financial journalist, this was HIGHLY UNETHICAL of him.

Simmons was ousted from his firm due to credibility issues. Blatant conflict of interest with his 8000 short position on BP. Losing that short position and a pending SEC investigation was too much for the old SOB.

Why have we not heard anything else about the oil spill regarding this information that Mr. simmons leaked. I hate to hear about the chemicals used to sink the oil but I believe someone should be looking into what Mr. Simmons said. Is there no longer any honest people who work in the media. People always say Fox is honest and the biggest truth tellers. Fox has never said a word about the spill except early in the spill and that was not much.
