Neftali Feliz, Texas Rangers (2009-03-18 vs San Diego Padres)

Neftali Feliz, the Texas Rangers top RHP prospect, faced the San Diego Padres on March 18, 2009. I shot this 210 frames per second video at the game. I still have no idea where the velocity comes from…

Nice videos dude. Feliz’ delivery is so smooth and effortless. It’s amazing how he consistently hits 100.

lol, normal as us having a pepsi…that is true tho, he can really bring it, and he makes it look so easy (which it probly is for him)

A real flamethower clocking his fastball occasionally at 102 miles per hour. His 97,98,00 mph is just as normal as us having a pepsi.

    hes gonna blow outttt

His stuff is just incredible…he’s the AL’s future Lincecum IMO.

  7. DiskidsacomIetehomo says:

he has 5 absolutely filthy pitches, he doesn’t need that 101 mph fastball to be succesful. Nasty curve, slider, split, changeup. Definitely starters stuff and has the mentality of a workhorse that wants to go 8+innings every start. his p f/x on his fastball is unreal with about 14-16″. should be having more hype than joba and def better than joba was when he came up.

Feliz being a starter sounds great but let’s get to the playoffs first. Maybe then they can look at that option.

  9. ghstrainer08 says:

He’s a starter, they’re going to stretch him out again during winter ball. He has all the makeup for a great starter, and the Rangers would be wasting their time having him as the closer.

  10. josefgutierz says:

Dude…Pudge can take those heaters from him…I like Teagarden but Ron Washington should be starting Pudge for the rest of the season. Feliz is definately a closer.

  11. soxpatsicecream7 says:

Man he is going to be nasty. Closer or starter?

  12. vetri38 says:

Like a young Dwight Gooden. There is no wasted motion…at all.

  13. rtruss40 says:

Anyone throwing a ball that fast, their arm needs to be registered as a firearm Holy smokes I would not want to be the catcher for this man

  14. ryanboyce1 says:

aw man, hoping he’d pitch. Don’t get sick!

  15. supertrackxc says:

    he is gonna be sick
