I enjoyed this it was respectful to the horse.
why would anybody hobble a (young) horse – just take you time to get the horses to trust – why brake a horse instead of getting a partner, who wants to please you and is not doing things because it is forced to.
I don’t understand why he is teaching that.
thank you for all the great teachings you are doing here… there very usefull helping me train my horse.
this guy obviously knows a lot and hes very clear when he explains what he knows!
First of all: wonderfully clear video, and steady hand. Do you mind if I use this for a video?

Ur video is awesome you must have worked really hard!!!!
100% one of the best videos of the rolex. i hope you plan on going and getting this great of footage in 2010! you got so close and it was all so clear!
I am not the “horse person” in our family….it is my wife. But, when I went to the Rolex cross country for the first time, I was completely blown away, in awe of the athleticism and stamina of these animals. It is hard to appreciate in this video but some of the jumps are so huge that I had NO idea that the horse was going to go OVER them. I thought they were obstacles to go around…..like a slalom course. A trip to the Rolex Cross Country NEEDS to be on everyone’s “bucket” list. Overwhel
Thank you so much!
That is what I aim for when recording and editing the Rolex event, I want viewers to see the entire course and have a sense of “being there”.
Please check back for next year’s Rolex
thank you!
this is – without a doubt – one of the best videos covering the 2009 Rolex xcountry phase.
i was expecting to see five horses jumping the exact same obstacle, but you put this together very well; good video quality, excellent variety, and i really appreciate that you didn’t put it to music!
you know what i really like about this video?! aside from the fact that i’d be the rider holding on for dear life, there are several riders in here who pat their horses after a jump. its just cool to me that they are encouraging their horses like that, and it helps to reassure me that many riders out there do care about their horses and they arent just out there for the fame. i praise and love on my boy all the time =)
it jumps beautifully!
