A classic MJ masterpiece. Jordan in his prime was beyond electric. The Bucks were in town and the Bulls were battling them for the 5th seed so this was a must win game with a playoff atmosphere. Enter Michael Jordan. Playing a cool game through quarters 1-3, MJ took over in the 4th with 26 points in a blur for a comeback win at the buzzer. Going for 50pts while shooting a typical 16-26 for 62%, MJ also took in 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals for another stunning, all-around game with a miraculous ending. His usual array of creative drives opened up his mid-range game which then opened up his driving game – as if he needed that. When the chips were down, MJ’s mythical presence once again cast its giant shadow. There is no 6th or 7th gear like Mike’s. A most amazing stat was that MJ was shooting 55% for the year this deep into the season for 7th place in the NBA in FG% while scoring 34.2 ppg. And no, that’s not a typo.
@NastyNasIllmatic completely agree. People compare Kobe to MJ all the time and the thing is that they’re games are completely different. Kobe has always shot way more 3s and although he does post-up now, he doesn’t do it nearly as often as Jordan did at the end of his career. Not to mention Kobe is a career 46% shooter. MJ was over 50% before he played in Washington. MJ knew his game and knew that nobody was going to stop him. Kobe tries to impress people by scoring in difficult ways.
@ai002h prime years were 1986 – 1990, before the championships
RIDICULOUS!!!!!
look at the clutch!!!
3:29 look how far he is standing from the free throw line
There’s no need to comment. This video speaks for itself.
wow simply d BEST
wow simply d BEST
One of the Greatest Shots & Sequences at the Conclusion of this Game nobody had Moments like Jordans! The Cameras flashing even on Free Throws like a Messaihs is playing Basketball. Epic Game !! Jus like John Paxson said watching Michael was an Honor only he got to Play on the same Team with him. Kobe has moments that are Great but, not Epic!!! Jordan allday !! & Forever..
Yep The Greatest Athelete or the Best Sports Icon Ever! along with Ali & Babe Ruth !! Etc…
@jimmychuang No the one against the Cavs on Eilo
he was good
@NastyNasIllmatic Lebron isn’t even as good as Dwayne Wade, who in turn, isn’t quite as good overall as Kobe. Kobe is FAR below Jordan, for the simple reason that his defense is galaxies away from Michael’s dominance at the position. Not to mention that while Kobe’s offense is superb, neither is it as near Jordan’s level as it is often portrayed.
That was pretty cool.
thanks hoopsencyclopedia
Yes, he shot a foot from FTL in some games, when he felt the FTs as a little longer distance. Good tactics.
in my top 10 of best games. in an amazing atmosphere, bucks play very well but but MJ forces the destiny, 27 4th QT pts with one of his top 3 game winner IMO
I think it is the best winning shot ever
no one can stop Jordan
No flopping. A beautiful thing to see.
Mark Davis (#23 for the bucks): there can be only one! Look at the way he fell in the clutch at 5:11.
He definately should have won MVP award this year as well. He came extremely close to averaging a triple doube with over 30 PPG Season I might add. Thats Oscar Robertson close. I honestly feel like the NBA wanted to squeeze in a few MVP awards to Magic to compete with Birds 3 consecutive MVPs. You have to remember even now with MJ putting up these huge numbers he was still considered a one man show at this time. This was still the Laker/Celtic era. MJ sealed GOAT status when he 3peated.
Watch the win over the knicks by the heat where wade had 24 points in the 4th quarter and they won by 3, they were down by 13 wiht 8 minutes left, the crowd went bonkers
or the 3ot win over the bulls wade had 48
or the win in 2006 over the #1 seed pistons that won 64 games the year the heat won the title, they were eliminated ECF the year before and wade dropped 24 in the 4th plus the gamewinner for 42 points and the crowde went bonkers
Whoops..Keller
How the hell was he not MVP this year. Also lead the league in steals?? Who’s judging this award..Helen Kellar..I mean WTF. Just look at the stats..sometimes I feel winning a title really shouldn’t hold as much weight as it seems especially when the team is allstar packed
he is the greatest. you never see performances like this anymore..let alone a crowd that into a game. this was my favorite time in the NBA
