@goodm369 um i beleive in lance too. but most of his teamates from us postal have been linked to doping including hamilton and landis…

  2. goodm369 says:

I just believe Lance, he just works harder than all those other lazy bums, he is willing to give 100 percent. Then extract 20 percent, save it and replace it later when he needs to give 120 percent. And if things really get serious he can always get in Dr F’s camper for an hour and talk and get weighed and have his BMI tested. It’s not like any of his teammates during his TDF years ever cheated. Floyd, Tyler, Frankie, George, if they are clean then Lance is too. #7 in 2020!

@Burncourtable Well said !! You gave me a great laugh ! Great Wit , great to see Nicholas Roche doing so well in Spain , he s a chip off the old block

  9. Burncourtable says:

Fuck Paul Kimmage. He wouldn’t win the tour of Achill island

  10. john97160 says:

To be honest, I don’t see why Kimmage should have any say on the matter…
Anyone recall his comments to Lance Armstrong? The whole “our cancer has returned” stuff? (reffering to Armstrong, of course) I have a VERY hard time taking Kimmage seriously…

Couldn’t agree more with Laurencedublin: Bitter little nobody with bitter little rants!

  11. paulbrandy says:

    @andjelko33 its obsession by animotion!

  15. MrHopeTelevision says:

@andjelko33 Im trying to figure out too! maybe you’ve found out in the last 5 months?

  16. jarsonist says:

    Where’s the cheese?

  17. DHTCF says:

The test explanation that Roche gives doesn’t seem to account for the “si” in the treatment column. Disucssion of the judge’s conclusions inconsistent with the lack of interest that Roche professes earlier on in the piece.

  18. comac1983 says:

I understand why as an Italian, where of course cycling is a big sport, this would annoy you. Sean Kelly was a great, modest, champion and he deserves to be recognised as such.

  19. comac1983 says:

@Busseto – Kelly may not have had the greatest natural ability but what he lacked in ability he made up for it through pure grit and determination. He has won; the Vuelta, the Green Jersey 4 times, Paris Nice 7 times, Tour de Suisse 2, Milan SanRameo 2, Paris Roubaix 2, Giro di Lombardia 3… He remained ranked as the World no1 for 5 consecutive years. He could climb with the best, time trail and sprint. He was an exciting rider to watch, instigating attacks…

  20. Busseto says:

@comac1983 sorry but you’re 100% wrong : not only my memory works perfectly , but also as northern Italian
I do know so much cycling and ev’ry fact about .
While ( I repeat ) Roche was a great champ and a fair cyclist , Sean Kelly used to make ridiculous complains about superior rivals ( even outclass as Hinault or Saronni f.i. ) the many times he got defeated by them and he used to behave like a pathetic wining rookie ( Tour &
    Wolrd Championship comprehensive ) .

  21. comac1983 says:

Your memory fails you! Sean Kelly is infamous for his silence and a man that would rarely ever complain especially not publicly.

  22. projectletour says:

There’s no doubt Roche doped. Paul Kimmage, while not the brightest in using the cancer metaphor, had no reason to concoct his story. Rough Ride is an accurate account account and i highly recommend the read.

  23. sprintbass says:

    1000% and thanks:)

  24. HabloIrlandes says:

thats a pretty spot on comment about the whole episode. Kimmage showed sickening bad taste when he used that analogy. I’m no fan of LA, but that comparison was pretty sick.

  25. andjelko33 says:

what is the tune that starts at 1:44, I really like to get it

  26. WELLBRAN says:

Roche modest enough when riding but now he seems to be a conceited individual. not short of self importance, I hated Lemond when he was riding but now I like him alot as He speaks what he thinks, I was wrong about him. I know what you mean about Kelly though

  27. sprintbass says:

kimmage pissed me off because he made a very bad comparison…lance-cancer has returned to our sport…i hate armstrong..and I AM american..but you dont go and say cancer like that..true or not it was poor taste..lance wont go down..amgen sponcers him and he is a cash cow..cycling does well when he wins and we are talking many many millions of $ from bike sales to his cancer awareness..id love to see some one take him down but i dont see it happening..i love roche and was a fan of him.

  28. ItsdHoff says:

Paul Kimmage thinks all winners are on drugs, just because he couldn’t win, even when HE took drugs…he IS a bitter little man.

  29. Busseto says:

Ops I’ve just wrongly posted my below comment on here trusting I had typed on a Kelly’s video .
While I couldn’t stand Sean Kelly , I admired so much Stephen Roche, the greatest irish cyclist ever , a famous & great champ in cycling history.
So my up cooment was meant for Kelly .
I apologize to all Roche’s fans & admirers here : I can’t get how it could happen .
I kindly ask the owner of the video to cancel my comment , thx .

  30. Busseto says:

Yeah he was a born winner , that’s true
but he also was a whiner and a born sore looser as far as I remeber him ….!
A winning ryder but absolutely not an outclass champ .

  31. WELLBRAN says:

Roche is sitting in the studio with a smug look, and trying to look saintly, does not help his cause and denying the question before the guy finishes his sentence, also at the end how conceited to say “I was a classy cyclist2, and as if to say “Prove it”! also I remember Roche was very very scathing of Kimmage right from the start, what beeter way to defend your secret by attacking? I dunno. When roche si trying to look innocent he looks positively shifty!

  32. WELLBRAN says:

Sorry for spelling I am writing this when worn out
