i have been trying to teach my arabian mare to back for so long now, her problem is she fights me and i try to hold her like you said but she then starts to try to lay down. Do you have any tips to help me work with her cause she is really stubborn like most arabians are lol
Very nice. I have a 3yr old I started and he backs great but he always pushes the bit with his nose before he begins to back, especially if coming to a stop at anything faster than a trot. I want him to be softer?
I’ve never heard of this guy, but really like his style.
The backing made me laugh…I taught my mustang to back and stop using the same techniques…then a few days later, out riding in the open, I asked for a whoa and a back…the stinker decideed to “show me” and kept backing for a full block, even though I had stopped asking after the first few steps, lol.
