Join hostess Gabrielle Reece as she learns how to surf on the Northern shore of Maui with Laird Hamilton, one of the innovative surfers who brought the world strapped surfing. Strapped surfing gives enthusiasts the chance to maneuver through sharp tricks even if they’re not one of the top surfers in the world and gives surfers speed far beyond those normally found in surfing. Also included in this episode is white water rafting, presented by photographers Ned Sickles and Orlando Duenas. The men discuss their experiences with this intense sport and some of the spills they’ve had over the years. In Lake Placid, Robert Pipkins and Dave Jehring practice the luge, where participants can shoot through the narrow slides at upwards of 90 miles an hour. This video includes footage of extreme sports and interviews with the experts who live with their passions day in, day out. Follow The Extremists as they travel the world, searching for the rush of adrenaline that comes from mastering the natural world.
