It was announced this week that James Naismith’s original 13 rules for the game of “Basket Ball’’ are going to be put up for auction later this year. The rules, created by Naismith in 1891, are on two type-written pages. Sotheby’s, which is handling the auction, expects the rules to sell for at least million.

CANADA DAY at COSBURN was great! After singing our National Anthem we played a little lawn bowls. We paused for to watch the beautiful Canada Day neighbouhood parade go by our club. Afterwards, we played a lot more. Our awesome Greek themed lunch was sponsored by Real Estate Broker Mary Kapches. After lunch we played fun games, which included the annual King & Queen game. There were prizes for everyone.
