Toronto Raptors vs Sacramento Kings Dec.26/08

Jermaine O’Neal got off to a slow start to his career in Toronto, taking time to recover from a knee injury that sidelined him for half of last season. He is starting to find his groove of late, once again looking like the five-time all-star he was in Indiana before being traded to the Raptors this summer. O’Neal scored 36 points in his highest-scoring game in two seasons and the Toronto Raptors ended a 10-game losing streak in Sacramento with a 107-101 victory over the Kings on Friday night. “I’m starting to feel like I felt in Indiana. I knew it was going to be a process,” O’Neal said. “The game was a lot faster than I thought it would be, especially being out 40 games last year. It took me a while to get the rhythm.” O’Neal was in it all night against the Kings, helping Toronto win for just the second time in 13 trips to Arco Arena and the first since March 13, 1997. The Raptors have won back-to-back games on a six-game road trip that was broken up by a three-day holiday break that allowed many of the Toronto players to go home for Christmas before returning to the team Thursday night. O’Neal, who missed 40 games last season after undergoing knee surgery the previous summer, reached the 20-point mark just twice in his first 23 games in Toronto before doing it in three straight now on this road trip. The performance against the Kings was his best of the year as he dominated inside on 15-of-19 shooting in his highest-scoring game since getting 39 for Indiana against

NBA Sacramento Kings Vs New Jersey Nets Game Recap 10/29/2010

Dwyane Wade scores 27 points and the Heat continue their good play in March with a 99-89 victory over the Nets. Wade, Heat kick off road trip with win over Nets By Bob Considine, for NBA.com Posted Monday March 22, 2010 11:15PM EAST RUTHERFORD (NBA.com exclusive) — The Nets weren’t lacking for intent on Monday night, but they were again missing execution. And so there was nothing close to consolation in New Jersey’s 99-89 defeat to the Miami Heat the IZOD Center. Maybe the Nets hadn’t been so worthy of an ‘E’ for effort in awhile. But at the end of the game, it was still another “L” for loss under acting coach John Loyer. “I feel bad for them,” Loyer said. “But I told them they’ve got nothing to hang their heads about. They came against a playoff team and one of the elite players in the league, Dwyane Wade, and gave it everything they had.” Wade led Miami with 27 points, while Jermaine O’Neal, making a return to the starting lineup after missing one game with a sprained ankle, added 25 points. The Heat pick up a key win in the Eastern Conference playoff race in the first of a three-game road trip. They maintained a one-game lead over Toronto for sixth place in the East. “We want to get in the playoffs and we have to go to battle every night,” Wade said. “This week is very important for us.” “We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game,” added Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. “You look at a team like the Nets and their record and you’re very deceived by it.” The Nets, despite
