Guillen’s three-year, million contract is set to expire at the end of the year, and the Royals agreed to pay a portion of the pro-rated contract. San Francisco’s current outfield boasts Pat Burrell, Aaron Rowand, Nate Schierholtz and Andres Torres. Guillen last played in the National League in 2006, when he batted .216 and hit nine home runs in 69 games for the Nationals.”
