Outer Banks Beach, Surf, & Fishing Report – 9.20.11 – Great day for the ESA surf competition…

Good morning. Here’s the Outer Banks Beach, Surf, & Fishing Report for Tuesday, September 20, 2011. This video was shot at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head at 9:00 AM. Another beautiful fall day. Luckily the weather pattern has changed today. We had a storm system hanging with us for a few days sending rain and stiff northeast winds, but the sun is back today. Sun, 80′s, and water temps in the mid 70′s. Perfect fall weather. This weather will stick with us for the rest of the week. Maybe an isolated thunder storm, but nothing widespread. A great week to be at the beach. That storm system, along with Tropical Storm Maria moving through the ocean, has been sending large swell to the OBX since late last week. Unfortunately the northeast wind has not cooperated to clean the waves up, but today is looking decent. Even though the waves aren’t perfectly clean, this size is great and just in time for Jennette’s Pier to host the ESA finals (Eastern Surf Association) this week and the Outer Banks Pro this weekend. Great week of OBX surf contests! The waves are overhead today with some great sections coming through. The onshore winds aren’t great, but there are a lot of fun, and big, waves out there for the ESA surfers. The swell will drop from head to waist over the next few days. The winds won’t be ideal during the week, but it looks like there could be some good opportunities for clean waves. Thursday morning looks small but clean, and the start of the Outer Banks Pro looks like

Police Shoot Unarmed Man in the Back Execution Style in CA Local News Report

In a dramatic story that has been stoked by amateur YouTube videos, the aftermath of the fatal New Year’s Day shooting of a young man by a BART officer unfolded Wednesday on several fronts – with protests, a funeral and an announcement that the officer had resigned. Late Wednesday, Oakland police responded to scattered disturbances as hundreds of protesters gathered around the Lake Merritt BART station, overturned trash cans, lit a dumpster on fire and rocked a police car back and forth. Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd. It was unclear whether there were any arrests or injuries. Earlier that day, more than 1000 people turned out at a Hayward church to remember Oscar Grant III , who one worshipper called “the apple of God’s eyes.” Cell phone videos apparently show Grant face down being shot by an officer standing over him. On the same day, as word spread that Officer Johannes Mehserle had quit the force, about 50 protesters met with Alameda County District Attorney Tom Orloff to demand that his office file charges against Mehserle in the shooting at the Fruitvale BART station. After initially resisting, Orloff let the protesters into his office, but excluded about a dozen members of the press waiting outside in the lobby. The group included 10 local pastors, Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson, and Oakland City Councilmember Desley Brooks, who has called Grant’s death “an execution.” BART officials announced Wednesday that Mehserle, 27, had resigned. Somali Pirates? Or a response to illegal fishing and toxic dumping by Western & Eastern ships off the Somali coast. The Somali have no nuclear capabilities ergo no nuclear waste. So how did it get there? PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO DOCUMENTATION I CAN FIND OF THE SOMALI KILLING ANY HOSTIGES EVER… In my Opinion, in most cases, those doing the toxic dumping and illegal fishing are the ones the Somali are retaliating against. With no response from the international community, the situation has escalated to a symbiotic relationship between Western Asian pirates (who started the toxic holocaust in the horn of Africa), and now the Somali Coast Guard (of which some have become renegades) in retaliation to the international community turning a blind eye to these facts. Is the best solution war, more imperially imposed regime change in Somalia now. Done by a coalition of willing pirates with bigger boats? Sounds a lot like, like giving money to ponzi schemers to solve the financial illusion they fabricated. As Arsenio Hall used to say “Things that make you go huum” What do you think? I tried to post this comment on the Wall Street Journal (now) FOX News Report… (news lol) “Somali’s vowing to retaliate”, is the title but nothing in the story came from the Somali saying they vow to retaliate… only the corprate news can have titles that don’t apply to the story… Nothing happens without a catalyst. These people just woke up one day and decided to fight Goliath. Anyone that
