Classic Game Room HD – NBA LIVE 10 review

Classic Game Room HD reviews NBA LIVE 10 from EA SPORTS for Xbox 360, also available for PS3. NBA Live 10 has taken me by surprise because historically, basketball has not made for good video games. Football, soccer, baseball, hockey and golf have all made a logical transition from the real sport to video games with game cartridges dating as far back as 1978 when the Atari 2600 and Magnavox Odyssey 2 were loaded with playable sports titles headlining their catalogs. Basketball was always buried in shame, rarely featured in ads and stuck on the last page of sales brochures behind the glitz of football. Old school basketball video games were terrible. They consisted of two players facing off against each other with a giant pixel that you were supposed to throw at a line. Whoopie! Id rather play Basic Math. Fast forward more than 30 years and push aside that faded VCS Basketball cartridge to make room for NBA Live 10. EA Sports has managed to make a basketball game that jumps off the screen with realism and technical mastery while lavishing the player with fun and well rounded gameplay. Players can pick their favorite team, trade players and manage every detail or just dive right into a fact paced game of basketball. The recent slate of EA Sports titles has impressed me with their ability to be played like arcade-style sports games or team management simulations. Admittedly Im not much of a basketball fan. Pittsburgh doesnt even have a basketball team which left me choosing

Steve Schrader’s 2010 sports year in review

Steve Schrader’s 2010 sports year in review
The Red Wings couldn’t QUITE make it to their third straight Stanley Cup finals. The MSU men’s basketball team couldn’t QUITE make it to another NCAA title game. Armando Galarraga couldn’t QUITE get that 27th straight out (at least according to Jim Joyce, for a few minutes). The U-M football team could QUITE stop, well, anybody. And the Lions? Well, they had enough “NOT QUITE” for a decade.

HorizonHobby.com Pro Boat Shockwave 26 Brushless Review

For more information on the ShockWave 26 Brushless or to buy please visit the following link: www.horizonhobby.com Anyone who has followed our videos, articles or podcasts knows that I am a racer. Racing is what got me interested in this hobby and has kept me involved in it too. There are some days, however, when, while racing is fun, I just want to get some time behind the trigger and goof off a bit. Sometimes I don’t want to worry about competition. Sometimes I just want to go out and have some fun. That’s where one of the latest offerings from Pro Boat comes into play—the ShockWave 26 Brushless. When I first saw this latest ShockWave I was quite excited as it has a lot of innovative features to add to the “ShockWave Family Legacy”. It is the first ShockWave to incorporate a brushless motor and speed control. It is the first ShockWave to include three different trim schemes right in the box. It is also the first ShockWave to feature Spektrum’s 2.4GHz DSM2 Marine technology. With all that’s new it’s good to see proven features also make their return. This ShockWave, like the others, features a Deep-V hull design, stainless steel running hardware, comes out of the box ready to run and is sure to bring a smile to your face. With a batch of freshly charged Dynamite Li-Po batteries ready, it was time to hit the water and see if the ShockWave 26 Brushless could set the water ablaze. I will say I had so much fun with the ShockWave 26 Brushless…it’s fast, fun, handles well
