Jermaine O’Neal got off to a slow start to his career in Toronto, taking time to recover from a knee injury that sidelined him for half of last season. He is starting to find his groove of late, once again looking like the five-time all-star he was in Indiana before being traded to the Raptors this summer. O’Neal scored 36 points in his highest-scoring game in two seasons and the Toronto Raptors ended a 10-game losing streak in Sacramento with a 107-101 victory over the Kings on Friday night. “I’m starting to feel like I felt in Indiana. I knew it was going to be a process,” O’Neal said. “The game was a lot faster than I thought it would be, especially being out 40 games last year. It took me a while to get the rhythm.” O’Neal was in it all night against the Kings, helping Toronto win for just the second time in 13 trips to Arco Arena and the first since March 13, 1997. The Raptors have won back-to-back games on a six-game road trip that was broken up by a three-day holiday break that allowed many of the Toronto players to go home for Christmas before returning to the team Thursday night. O’Neal, who missed 40 games last season after undergoing knee surgery the previous summer, reached the 20-point mark just twice in his first 23 games in Toronto before doing it in three straight now on this road trip. The performance against the Kings was his best of the year as he dominated inside on 15-of-19 shooting in his highest-scoring game since getting 39 for Indiana against …

The Raptors took their first lead of the game, 81-80, on Kapono’s three-pointer with nine minutes left. The teams swapped the lead until Calderon made a three-pointer and Kapono made another 30 seconds later to give the Raptors a 94-90 edge with three minutes to go. After Humphries made two free throws, Kapono made another three-pointer with 1:41 left and the shot clock winding down to make it 99-90. Chris Bosh believes he’s playing the best basketball of his career right now. With yet another superb performance Friday night, it’s tough to argue. Bosh poured in 35 points and added nine rebounds to lead the Toronto Raptors to their third straight victory at the Air Canada Centre on Friday, with a 89-78 win over the Atlanta Hawks. The Raptors all-star said his confidence is at the point now where he believes he can score every time he has the ball. “I feel like that. I’ve been saying that for two days now. . . well, three or four or five days now,” Bosh said with a laugh. “I’m feeling good, I feel very confident, I think everything is just opening up for me. I’m finally at 100 per cent.” Anthony Parker finished with 18 points in the game that marked the first meeting between the two teams since TJ Ford suffered a neck injury in Atlanta on Dec. 11. Jose Calderon added 13 points and nine assists for the Raptors (22-18), who won for the fifth time in the last six games. The Raptors took a 67-60 advantage into the fourth quarter of the back-and-forth affair, but broke the game open with a solid performance in the final few minutes, holding off a brief Hawks rally. The young Hawks pulled to within two points with just over five minutes left in the game after a three-pointer by Tyronn Lue. Parker responded with a three _ one of four he had on the night _ and Jamario Moon followed followed with a slam dunk to stretch Toronto’s lead back to seven. “They made some tough …
