Damon draws ovation in return to Yankee Stadium
Johnny Damon has drawn a standing ovation in his return to Yankee Stadium. The crowd began cheering when Damon came to the plate for the Detroit Tigers in the first inning on Monday night. Damon waved his helmet to the fans and turned to the New York dugout, where the Yankees applauded. Damon starred for the Yankees during the past four years and helped them win the World Series last season.
